December 9th. I joined Fine Art only this morning and posted abstracts. The "songs" were inspired by Mendelssohn's music, but generally speaking, my abstracts occur on the spur of the moment and the titles are fairly arbitrary. I'll be publishing more paintings here, of course. I want to join the print-on-demand program, but I need to prepare images for printing and I won't really have time before Christmas, so I'll wait until the new year to get going. I paint impressionist figuratives (mostly florals), too, but I prefer the freedom of painting abstract at the moment. I had a longer break after smashing my left wrist in August (I'm left-handed) and I am now gradually regaining the facility I used to have. Holding a pencil was impossible for months so I could not do any drawing at all. Thankfully, most of the motoric difficulties have now improved, but my wrist is still not back to normal (it will take a few more months).
If you would like to purchase a print of a painting shown here or on my website, please let me know and I will try to make it available at short notice. The images here and at faithart.net are web format and thus not suitable for quality printing. I am not selling originals at the moment.
Hope you have a good run up to Christmas (or the holiday season, if you define it that way).
