Exploring Shapes and Discovering Color Schemes

The digital abstract artwork that I create always involves many choices during the design process. From seeking a variety of shapes, spirals, patterns, and designs, I also choose specific color schemes to complete my designs. Upon doing a recent review of my portfolio, I decided that it was time to try incorporating more variety into the color palettes that I use along with my fractal designs.

By spending some time reading interior design and decorating blogs and articles, I am learning to stretch my imagination when trying new color schemes in my artwork. While there does not appear to be any hard and fast color rules, and styles and opinions vary, it has been very enlightening to observe and read about the vast array of design and decorating styles that are out there.

My non-objective abstract artwork is designed to fit seamlessly into any space providing a modern and contemporary splash of color. Images are available in a variety of sizes and print mediums with my personal favorite being the glossy, sleek and stylish metal prints.

The artwork featured in this blog post is: Smoky Shadows Abstract by Janice Austin
