"Dreaming 1854" . . . This vintage Ukiyo-e image shows the Dreamer resting on pillows and futon while dreaming of the 'Floating Bridge of Dreams'. Those familiar with the tale of Genji will recognize the poem in the image as a pun on the last chapter. The original image is signed Toyokuni ga (painted by Yoyokuni).
