Dissecting Conditioning?

OK. So I've been simmering on this for a while. I was just watching Finding Nemo with my 3 year old and made the observation that it opened right up with a family death, something for my girl makes an impression because she's not dealt with it yet in reality. Yet here she is witnessing death. On one hand she is being exposed to something negative and thus arises some fear that she now carries with her on this journey through humanness. On the other hand the movie progresses to give her tools and attitude tips to survive such tragedy. So I get caught up at: allow the risk of fear irrationally residing in her consciousness, or entroduce her to the true tradegy and nature of life early on in subtle and entertaining way. It really comes down to the type of personality the individual being raised has. ??? This is probably TBC because the point I'm trying to make is present everywhere in society. I see it all the time.
