Days in Asia

I spent nearly seven years teaching and studying in Taiwan in my twenties. During that time, I was able to travel to places in Asia that still enter my thoughts in the work. I didn't get a degree for this experience but I received many memories that I still try to work from. I was literally turned on my head from the cultural and language learning. There were days that were a struggle and others that were golden....translation difficulties, getting a passport stolen, seeing amazing architecture, meeting some of the most intriguing people I've personally known, and the list goes on. I met many older tourists and travelers along the way in places such as Bangkok, Shanghai, and Hong Kong and I heard them often say, "It's good you're doing this while you're young..." Here's to youth and experiencing as much as possible when a chance/change is presented.
