A handful of white
A few of these pink
Some long stemmed of these
And a couple of leaves
I’ll give it to my mom
Or to my best friend
This white, pink and green crown
I’ve ever so carefully bound
Not one out of place
Neatly tucked and sewn
But I’ve placed it on my brow
And I like how it looks now
Running along the hills
As sunlight plays with my hair
I’ve danced and twirled
I’ve taken my bow and showed the world
The white ones now cheered
The others tickled pink
The green leaves roared
I smiled and waved as my heart poured
Someday I will dance again
And perform for this big crowd
And when I hear the joy and the sound
I’ll remember my white, pink and green crown
