Creating Tulip Kaleidoscopes

When I first moved to Skagit County, Washington state I loved the flowers that bloomed every Spring. I have taken many photos of the local flowers, tulips, daffodils, and irises. I started taking pictures by inserting my lens into the center of the tulip and getting a closeup of the tulips center, and stamens. These pictures reminded me of childrens' kaleidoscopes that I had loved as a child. Then I took the pictures that I had taken and used computer software programs to manipulate the images and created my flower kaleidoscopes. I use a color from the flowers to create the background to coordinate with the flower.
