Creating Stories, One Frame At a Time.

If you're reading this, I want to welcome you to my profile and thank you for taking a few moments to dig a little deeper. I have allowed my profile to lay dormant for some time, but due to a pivotal life experience, have re-positioned myself to pursue my interests and aspirations more heavily.

Nothing like getting kicked in the pants by life for a few moments to make you sit up and realize what's important. We only have one soul, all of us, and feeding it and caring for it is our job. It's not your job to care for my soul or mine for yours, but perhaps meeting like this in this forum, we can help each other care for our own souls? I'm not sure. I write and I photograph; I'm not a philosopher.

When I write, I'm fond of saying I'm 'telling stories, one word at a time'. I feel the same with my photos. I create stories, one frame at a time. Yes, you read that right. Frame. I'm one of those who prefers the warmth, light and nostalgia of film. The deeper I got into film photography again (I started with this when film was all we had), I realized there is an unending plethora of photographers and artists using film. Just hordes. I'm not even sure what you call a group of photographers. There's a herd of cows, a gaggle of geese, a flock of seagulls (and a one hit wonder at that) but what's a group of photographers called? A shutter of photographers? A roll? How about a 'darkroom of photographers'?

But if you've read this far and you enjoy photography using traditional processes--analog photography, some say--I invite you (implore you) to check out apug.org if you haven't already. See you there.
