Catching up and happy new year

I hope you all had a great holiday and new year! I've had so much going on lately. Tragedy struck in December with the passing of my grandmother, rest her soul. I've quit smoking now for over four months and I've changed some things around involving work situations and what not so its looking as though until I start again in the workforce I'll be modeling when I get gigs and painting a lot more.

Since the passing of my grandmother though my artwork has taken on a transition. A friend explained that is not uncommon as emotions are driving hard. I've always felt as though I definitely poured emotions into my work, however these brush strokes are much different and unique. You'll see what Iean as I post the mini canvases up.
