Can You See Invisible Things?

Someone said, "Vision is the art of seeing things invisible." In our natural way of thinking that doesn't make sense. How can we see something that's invisible? Well, my friend, look around. Every tangible thing we see, such as buildings, our automobiles and furniture. began as ideas in someone's mind. They were then translated on to paper in the form of plans and and blueprints. However, they were originally created from things unseen by the naked eye. We often deal with unseen things that impact us in various ways such as the wind. Can we grasp the wind or hold it in our fist? Of course not. However, we can certainly see the results of its power. Sometimes, especially in these hard times, we must look into that invisible realm and discover those hidden treasures placed in all of us because not only do they exist but can transform our lives. (Please stay with me because I' m going somewhere) Thomas Edison's dream of creating a light bulb has dramatically impacted our way of life throughout the modern world because of his belief in something he couldn't see and his determination to bring it to pass. What is your dream? Have you put it on the shelf? Perhaps it's time to dust it off and breathe new life into it. Don't allow it to die on the vine. Someone needs it. You CAN
resurrect it.

The great poet, Langston Hughes wrote in his poem. A DREAM DEFERRED, "What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in
the sun or fester like a sore and then run?" Many of us are experiencing different forms of pain, however, pain is not always just
negative. Physical pain tells us something needs fixing. It can often bring renewal. Emotional pain like physical pain can also be a catalyst and alert us to the need to make changes. We're all familiar with the expression, "I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired." However, when we reach that juncture we can continue down that same old road or realize the need to make adjustments; weigh our alternatives and most of all take necessary action. We can sometimes become so absorbed with negative circumstances that we can't see the possibilities.
All around us today, so many are engrossed in pessimism, gloom and doom. I fully understand we' re facing difficult times and so many people
are hurting. However, if we only focus on the problems we will never see the solutions. If everyday we go the the garbage dump we will never see the beautiful flower garden. Look into that invisible realm and you will discover YOUR " pearl of great price." It's within the Kingdom of God! Thank you for staying with me.
