Bronzed Tiger Beetle - Cicindela repanda

The Bronzed Tiger Beetle (Cicindela repanda) is found throughout South Carolina. They are very fond of sandbars and sandy banks along major waterways. Generally they seek sandy areas in direct sunlight and can number in the hundreds.
