Visit me at my websites: (1) http://GemHunter.webs.com and (2) http://Seiyo-ShorinRyu.com.

Or just Google me.

Blog, blog, blog - what's a blog? Another example of a generation that I gapped. About 3 years ago, I walked into Circuit City to buy Christmas presents - I was transported through time (or did I miss a decade or two?). I didn't recognize half of the gadgets. I went to pay for the gifts - the cashier didn't know how to accept cash - everyone was using plastic! The manager was called and it took the cashier and manager 20 minutes to figure out how to accept cash.

Still not sure what a blog is.

Anyway, Sometimes I am a geologist (http://gemstonehunter.blogspot.com). I love hunting gemstones and found many of the largest on earth (http://GemHunter.webs.com).

Found some gold deposits, a whole new gold district, two world-class colored gemstone deposits & dozens of diamond deposits. Recently, while working as VP for an Australian diamond company, I got them a very nice diamond deposit in Colorado and found them several others to drill: (http://discussionsondiamonds.blogspot.com).

Searching rocks gave me pleasure, solitude, and taught me to sketch - all because of rocks and a good friend and draftswoman (who drafted my field maps), I became an artist. Prior to 1990, I did no sketching, but due the the urging of Fiddy who thought my maps were artistic, I gave sketching a chance. Unfortunately, I've never had time to devote to promoting my sketches. A few ended up on book covers and used for greeting cards, but I didn't display most publicly until the urging (here come the rocks again) of Shawn Hart, the owner of the Grand Bizarre Gallery in Laramie. It seems that Shawn had prospecting in his blood and attended a couple of my public geology field trips. On one trip, we talked about art and Shawn convinced me to bring in some sketches for a Wyoming Artists show. My work was well received such that they scheduled an exclusive show for my work, then gave me my own corner in the gallery. Shawn and Deloris (his wife) were wonderful! Thanks guys! I later displayed some sketches at the Artisans Gallery in Laramie and the Western Art Show in Cheyenne.

I took early retirement in 2007, packed up and left the windy city of Laramie in the windy state of Wyoming. Yes it sounds crazy, but I miss leaning 35 degrees into the 50 below zero winds in Wyoming. Moved to the extremely hot Gilbert, Arizona.

I love martial arts - been a martial artist all my life (http://seiyokai.blogspot.com). Just a secret between the two of us - karate comes in handy when you forget to take your rock hammer. Recently I opened the world headquarters for an international martial arts assocaition in Mesa, Arizona (www.Seiyo-ShorinRyu.org) when I decided to focus a more on martial arts (http://azhombu.blogspot.com) and less on geology other than to write articles and look for the right consulting opportunity (http://www.Hombu.webs.com).

Write - oh yes, I like to write (http://wygemstones.blogspot.com) & (http://danhauselauthor.pbwiki.com).

Wish I had more time in life - who knows what I would be next - certainly not a politician.
