Beyond the big bang.

I've been wondering, what lies beyond the extent of the big bang. I mean does the extent of the universe as defined by the big bang go on for infinity or does it have an end or a boundary. My question is what lies beyond that limit and how can we observe it with our current scientific methods for observation. Perhaps we can't say anything before we observe that far into space.

I think science in general has been to bold in attempting to simplify what it has no way of understanding. Science shouldn't really play a role in questioning the existance of god unless god is observed. If there is a way of observing god or the divine then science should comment after making that observation. Otherwise I believe that science and scientists attempting to represent science, have no place in commenting on gods existence. I believe that science has no reason to fight against religion.

I believe that art is ultimately a process of creation which may mirror the universal principles of creation. The universal principles of creation are the rules that govern the creation of anything. This law is equal to the scientific law which states that nothing can created or destroyed but merely transformed from one form to another. I suppose a challenging question to pose is can science explain the creation of something from nothing. If something could be created from nothing, would it support the presence of something higher (god) that acts outside the laws of science.

This uncertainty about the creation of something from nothing is based on the theory that the universe started from nothing. I wonder why this explanation is so popular. Why not be open to the possibility that the universe could be infinitely old and will also continue to exist infinity. Likewise the universe may be infinitely extensive. This is why I question what lies beyond the big bang.

As an artist I believe our duty is to create because through creation our understanding of everything expands. My challenge is to find more ways of expanding my understanding and to use art to expand how other people understand reality.
