Behind the Photography Image - Technique, Camera Settings and Circumstances of Sunset over Cape Cod Bay

Heading south of Boston on Route 3 brings you right to Cape Cod, a pristine summer get away and vacation destination for many New Englanders. I routinely make the 1 and a half hour drive down to the Cape to capture its beautiful coastal scenery at all times of the day and in all seasons. During my last photo trip this summer I returned to Paine's Beach and Landing to photograph an oyster farming setting with baskets, cases, and beds. This evening clear skies dominated and coincided with low tide and a full moon rising across Cape Cod Bay. The sun was already very low painting the beach in beautiful hues.
