Baby from Space

Was it a dream or reality? Jon will never know for sure. A tiny creature invaded his life just a month before he started high school. As he stood on a platform in space this big eyed little child hung in front of him, with no visible means of support. This baby, wise beyond his years, seemed to know Jon, his family and his problems in school. Jon was a very poor student, he spent his time gazing out the windows. Dreaming of the world and all the places he wanted to see. All the foreign lands he wished he could visit and just how he would paint his next work of art. The space child spoke gently to Jon telling him that he could do and be everything he wanted. "First you must pay attention to the here and now, get good grades and go on to college, then your wishes will come true." With that the space child vanished. Leaving Jon with the inspiration to go on to high school, get straight "A"'s and with the first place artistic awards every year of high school. He then went on to win an art scholarship in 1957.
