For decades, people have flocked to Myrtle Beach, SC for a relaxing getaway. The area has so much to offer both residents and visitors alike. Since Myrtle Beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean, beaches are the main reason why people visit the area. Some of the best, most beautiful beaches are found in or around Myrtle Beach. While I was visiting the Low Country, I shot this art photo of Myrtle Beach pier at sunrise and then had to step back to enjoy it in real time!

A few of the sandy towns & communities you'll see include Surfside Beach, Huntington Beach, Garden City Beach and Myrtle Beach itself. The best part is that all of these beaches have tons of hotels and resorts to stay in, so getting to the beach involves simply walking out your door!

If you enjoy the nightlife, Myrtle Beach is a great place for you! From comedy clubs to bars and lounges, there is something to do at nighttime for just about everyone. Make sure to check out Carolina Comedy Club, The Bowery, Wet Willie's, Sandal's Lounge at Sands, and The Comedy Zone - House of Blues.

Another reason why people love Myrtle Beach is for its golf. Some of the country's best courses are located in the Myrtle Beach area. And the best part is there are courses for beginners, professionals and everyone in between. Some of the top courses in the area include Caledonia, True Blue, TPC Myrtle Beach, The Heritage Club, and Grande Dunes.

One thing most people do not realize about Myrtle Beach is that it is very family-friendly. There are a number of Myrtle Beach attractions for family members of all ages will enjoy. Medieval Times, Captain Hook's Adventure Golf, Mt. Atlanticus, Backstage Mirror Maze, Ripley's Aquarium, and Family Kingdom Amusement Park are some of the many activities the whole family will love!

Is Beach Shopping Really an Attraction?

Shopping is plentiful in Myrtle Beach. No matter who the shopper is, they will have no problem finding the store that best suits their needs. If you plan on shopping in Myrtle Beach, make sure to go to one of two Tanger Outlets in the area, Coastal Grand Mall and Rainbow Harbor Shopping Center.

Myrtle Beach's ocean location means outdoor activities are plentiful in and around the city. Myrtle Beach Safari is one such activity. Here, you will experience an adventure like no other; in addition to learning about very aspects of wildlife, you can get up and close with animals you never thought you could, like tigers.

Ash Myrtle Beach ATV Tours offers an ATV tour around the area. For those with even more adventure in them, make sure to stop in to Carolina Paddle Company. The company allows surfers and water lovers to rent surfboards and paddle boards. You can even go windsurfing!
