As I continue down this amazing road

As I sit here wondering what to share with you all, I go back to when I turned 65. In one swift swoop I was retired, got disability for memory loss, and found a new gift from God. Yep, that's when I started this awesome adventure with painting. Sure I was a crafty person most of my life, but never did I think I would be painting on canvas so many different kinds things...I would say doing snowscapes and landscapes are my favorites, but I am also loving abstracts. So as I continue to share my art with those who share theirs here on FAA I am thanking God for this awesome gift...Having no training has it's drawbacks of course, but I'm happy where I am...giving my art for auctions in Churches makes me extremely happy, and find it's like giving a part of me when I gift them as gifts to friends and family. This magnificent road I'm on is coming to so many different streets....come with me if you like!!! Blessings. I can't believe it's been 10 years since I posted this. I'm now 75, and enjoying all the new things I've learned as I continue to paint....I've learned how to do fluid pours...acrylic paint mixed with Floetrol an pouring medium found in Hardware stores that makes paint move!!! I've added some of the new paintings, but I have to say I still love doing the landscapes, and now I've been doing flowers, and birds too. I love watching all the different birds that frequent my feeders, and although bluebirds don't I have 8 bluebird houses on some of the posts around the back yard, and I can't tell you how many gorgeous bluebirds fly all over. We have a small garden growing finally...all the rains that hit in early Spring sure put a damper on everything...Tomatoes aren't doing real well, but my squash and cucumbers are blooming like crazy.
