Artistic Conquests

I've been known as a "Jack of All Trades" by my friends, family, and coworkers my whole life, as I like to dabble in just about anything I can. Especially when it comes to the arts! I play several musical instruments to include the Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Dulcimer, Native American Flute, Harmonica, and more. Around the home, I'm a handyman of everything (though I DO NOT claim to be an electrician, due to a number of bad experiences!); if it's broken, I've tried to fix it! And in my artwork, my greatest desire is to try, at least once, every medium I can! Oh, I've tried watercolors, oil, acrylic, pen & ink, colored pencil, regular pencil, pastels, sand, and I also do glass blowing and woodwork. Though my favorite two mediums are Oils and Sand.

So, because of this innate drive to learn and do as much as I can in this lifetime, I figured the most appropriate title for my business would be "Artistic Conquests!" I'm not just an oil painter, no do I do only landscapes or portraits. I don't want people to narrow my work down to one genre and be labeled thus. In fact I want prospective clients to give me a challenge, help me to learn something new, so I can try out a medium or genre that I haven't done before! I don't want people to simply buy what they see on Fine Art America, but see something they like and then have me change that piece a little (or a lot) so that the piece will be uniquely tuned to that individual or to whomever the piece is meant for. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all, and each person has something they relate to or connect with. That's what I hope to do through my art... Provide something that deeply resonates with The Person who will be holding my artwork in their home or office.

Therefore, it's my quest in life to find new mediums and genres and try them out. Some "battles" I may win, and some I may lose out, but in all I've gained a new appreciation for another fine art! Please join me in my Artistic Conquests!
