Art That Haunts

Sometimes when I’m working on a piece, it touches me and prepares me for something. Lately the piece, “Always Love”, is never far from my mind. Why? Because if I believe the answer is always love, then I should be living that as my creed. It is not a difficult thing but I must be diligent about it.

Temperance, patience, and consideration when paired with love takes time. It is not our first reaction to life. When hurt, love only comes after we vent and rage. Then we soften and allow love in. Can we make it our first and only response? It sounds deceptively simple but maybe it’s time to use love as the reaction and see how life goes.
