Apple Blossom

The apple blossom is the state flower of Michigan and Arkansas. It is Michigan I am thinking about today. For today our daughter Ally completes her season of internship at a local theatre company and we begin the trek home. To be sure, it has been a year of adventure and learning. Which is good, because that is very nature of an internship. And now she moves from one chapter to another. A few life-long friendships were begun. And we look forward to seeing them grow and learning what God is in store for them. But for now, we say our goodbyes. And we ask God's protection and care until we meet again.

"Jacob said to his kinsmen, 'Gather stones.' So they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there by the heap. Now Laban called it Jegar-sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed. Laban said, 'This heap is a witness between you and me this day.' Therefore it was named Galeed, and Mizpah, for he said, 'May the Lord watch between you and me when we are absent one from the other' ".
-- Genesis 31:46-49 NASB
