Airbrushing Tips and Techniques

So you want to learn how to airbrush... Okay, first thing we should discuss is equipment. There is quite a variety of makes, models, and manufacturer's out there so choosing one that not only suits your needs but also "feels good" in your hand is VERY important. I would start at your local art supply store and ask to actually "hold one" in your hand. They will most likely do this for you in anticipation of an expensive sale. Of the brands that are on the market currently I prefer Iwata however, I also own and use a Peak X-3 for a lot of my background work. Whichever way you decide to go, and once you find out which feels the most comfortable in your hand, I recommend going to bearair.com to make your purchase. They have the best prices on airbrushes that I have found on the internet. Next week we will get into compressors.
