Choices

I believe that it is good to have options and that experimentation is a good thing, so like to try different media. I have tried several printmaking media as well as traditional paint and digital painting. But this sometimes leaves me feeling spoiled for choice, like the donkey that starved, unable to choose between hay on both sides. I can dither and not get started on a project while I swap from one media to another. One of the important practical advantages of digital media is that it does not take up physical space. My home / studio has heaps of paintings and hand made prints, and I don't really have space for more. But engaging in the various non digital processes, getting my hands dirty, brings different challenges and results. Also, buyers value non-digital work more highly, in my experience, and selling my work is another important factor. So I will go non-digital today. Just need to decide whether to paint or make a print now... whether to work on some of the unfinished projects or to start anew....
