Back to Basics

I have had so much going on in the last two weeks that I haven't been able to really draw or paint much of anything. I know this isn't a great admission for a professional artist to have to make. But it is an accurate one. I have resolved to do something about that though.
It is so easy for art-making to get lost among the many other things that fill a typical day. I tend to get overwhelmed easily by the many things that I must do. I sometimes make myself anxious trying to deal with my to-do list. I really could use lessons in time management, if we are being perfectly honest here.
So I have decided to force myself to draw by challenging myself to create a drawing or sketch in my sketchbook for ten consecutive days. I have done this in the past, and it was very successful. I have found that whenever I start to wonder away from drawing and/or painting, this is the easiest way to find my way back to it.
So I will start this evening, and I will draw something everyday for the next ten days. Hopefully it will boost my creativity and get me back into creative habits. I can't wait to see what I come up with this time!
