Another snowy Thursday has arrived, it being the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8. It was great not to have gotten all the snow that was predicted, so for the first time in a couple of weeks I was able to get two paintings completed. Back on track, but alas, 2 paintings behind for the year. The first painting completed is entitled "Snow On Rose Hips". It is an acrylic painting on an 8" x 6" canvas panel. With all the wild weather we have been having I chose to be a little optimistic with this subject matter as it is of a rose bush in my garden after an early spring snow that didn't last long. You can't even see this bush now because it is buried. The original is offered for sale at $125, unframed, with free shipping to US residents. I welcome any inquiries at wstewart1958@gmail.com If you are interested in archival quality prints information can be found
HERE.
The second painting completed this week is entitled "Generations". It is a portrait of a friend of mine and his new granddaughter. Rendered from a photo posted on FaceBook that I found to be extraordinary in the subject expressions and textures. A joy to paint. The original is not for sale but if you are interested in archival quality prints you can find purchase information HERE.
