2014 was the year I decided to pursue photography professionally. It was the year I realized I am a landscape photographer. After many years of being drawn to landscapes, somehow I never quite realized this was the sort of photographer I am; it hit me like a revelation. All in all, it was a year of many 'firsts'.

I traveled to many beautiful places in 2014. I drove the 1,300 mile 'Circle Tour' of Lake Superior. My favorite part will forever be Minnesota's North Shore, especially the serenity of the Grand Marais harbor.

I spent an all too brief period of time on the pacific coast of Oregon.
My top ten favorite photographs from 2014 are the following:
2015 has arrived and starting this spring, I plan to spend quite a lot of time in several National Parks in the American southwest, to enjoy our infinitely beautiful world and expand my portfolio AMDG.
