I've never written a blog in my life so thought I should give it a try.....I have experimented with various mediums over the years from oils to watercolours, body paints and glass paints and each and every one I have enjoyed working with for different reasons but when I discovered silk painting in 2004 it caught me hook, line and sinker :)

The lustre of the dyes and fluidity was amazing and I loved the challenge of it, not being able to redeem mistakes and learning how much paint to use and how to create continuous lines with my special gutta resist, I still feel I'm learning every time I begin a new artwork. Trying new techniques and what works well when done right has been a fun journey for me.

Over the years I have been inspired to paint a variety of artworks, but when I moved to New Zealand the beauty of the country captured me and I hope this carries over in my paintings.

In my blogs that I intend on writing I hope to show my love of silk painting, talk about my techniques and how I create my artworks and I hope you also enjoy the tales I have to share....
