Light and Shadow

Subtle variations of light and shadow may make us feel as though we are emerging from a dreamlike state. Intense sensations of pleasure can be enjoyed by the relaxation of the mind in sleep and dreams. Can this be reproduced by a photo or an oil painting? I'll let you be the judge. The ethereal qualities muted colors of a Monet produce a peaceful experience that most find beneficial to their harried state of mind.
