Happy 4th of July

Happy Independence day! We celebrate in remembrance of winning our independence from the British by following the three F's: Family, food, and fireworks!

Every year, Chicago's very own Navy Pier hosts an event that draws thousands - its annual, 15 minute long, fireworks display. Thousands of people gathered along the shoreline of Lake Michigan to watch the event (including myself).

My journey downtown was worth while, as I was able to enjoy and take photos of the beautiful display. I had carried with me the Canon 70D, 10-22mm super wide lens, 24-70mm 4L Mid-Range and the 70-200mm 4L Telephoto - all which survived a nasty fall I had while riding my bike. It was worth it entirely!
